Esthetics involves the study of skincare, body care, hair removal, and makeup. Estheticians are skincare specialists who enhance the skin’s beauty through the use of products in facials, skin treatments, and makeup. At International Institute of Cosmetology, we help students learn the skills and knowledge they need to become professional estheticians. It is our mission to provide the highest level of education in the growing beauty industry while preparing students for employment. Starting with enrollment and continuing through graduation, our experienced instructors provide personalized support to each student. Our Esthetics Program Schedule

The Esthetics Program is 600 hours and can be completed in as few as five months. We only offer this program at our new facility at 657 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield, CT. This is a full-time program that meets Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am-4:30 pm.

FAQs About Our Esthetics Program

Can I take the program part-time?

At this time, we only offer esthetics as a full-time program.

Is financial aid available?

Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Start the process by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). Our financial aid team can answer your questions and help you understand your financial options.

Will I learn medical esthetics?

Although students learn some aspects of esthetics that can complement the medical field, this program follows a state-approved curriculum for licensure in Connecticut, which is not focused on medical esthetics.

Will I learn microblading/dermaplaning?

No, microblading and dermaplaning are not part of the program’s approved scope of practice.

Begin Your Enrollment Process Today

Before you dive into your enrollment journey, check out our school’s admissions requirements:

You must be above the age of 17 on the enrollment date.
You will need to complete a personal interview with an admissions representative.
You must also complete a student application, including an application essay.
There is a non-refundable application fee of $50.
You must be a high school graduate, have obtained a General Educational Development (GED) certificate, or meet our school’s homeschool requirement.
We ask you to submit a copy of a high school diploma/official transcripts or equivalent, GED certificate, or homeschool certification.
We also ask you to submit a copy of all of the following: Proof of date of birth (driver’s license or birth certificate) and verification of Social Security number. (Can be done with a FAFSA® or by showing a Social Security card to the admissions department. A copy of the Social Security card will not be kept for security purposes.)
