At International Institute of Cosmetology, our goal is not just to help you earn a license—it’s to help you build a successful future.
We support students with resume development, portfolio building, interview preparation, and networking opportunities through career fairs, career mixers, and connections with local salons and beauty businesses.
For students with an entrepreneurial mindset, we go even further. Through business-focused workshops and career development classes, students can learn about building a personal brand, attracting clients, renting a salon suite, managing finances, and even launching their own beauty business.
Program costs are subject to change.
This 1500-hour program can be completed in as little as one year.
Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Begin the financial aid process by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). We understand that paying for beauty school is a top concern for students. That’s why we have a financial aid team that will meet with you and walk you through your options. Contact us with any financial aid/tuition questions.
At this time, we only offer a full-time schedule for cosmetology. However, we do have different four-day schedules with different start dates, allowing you to choose the schedule that fits your life.
If you are looking for a beauty program that offers part-time schedules, consider one of our shorter programs or courses, such as applying lash extensions as an eyelash technician, offering manicures or pedicures as a nail technician, or learning to apply makeup as a professional makeup artist from our Makeup Artistry course.
Homeschooled students may be eligible for enrollment if they meet state law standards, provide a certificate of completion, and have a third party sign a statement verifying completion of homeschooling.
In Connecticut, cosmetology and hairdressing are terms used interchangeably. This program can be called “cosmetology” or “hairdressing.” Students focus mostly on hair training, but they also learn a variety of other beauty services, such as nail care, makeup, and skincare.
