Explore the Fun and Beautiful World of Makeup

Teens can create amazing looks with makeup at our Teen Makeup Camp! Geared toward individuals aged 13-17, these four-day camp experiences are creative deep-dives into the art of makeup. Choose from “Art in Makeup” or “Theatre Makeup.” Both camps take place at our Wethersfield campus. They are taught by Bobby Blumenthal, makeup director at International Institute of Cosmetology. Art in Makeup

The Art in Makeup teen camp is geared toward individuals aged 13-17 who wish to explore the world of makeup. Expect four days of fun and interactive hands-on experiences.

Day 1

Tool/product knowledge
Sanitation practices and station setup
Face chart demo
Design your own face chart

Day 2

Highlighting and contouring
Design your own highlighted/contoured look
Foundation matching

Day 3

Color wheel knowledge
Design a colorful look using bold pigments and glitters
Create your own lip gloss

Day 4

Create a mood board
Use your mood board to create a final look on a mannequin

Students receive a makeup brush set that they can use at camp and take home with them! They will work with an assortment of in-house makeup from some of the industry’s leading companies. No experience is needed to attend this camp. It is appropriate for all skill levels. Students receive a certificate upon completion.

Theatre Makeup

The Theatre Makeup Teen Camp is geared toward individuals aged 13-17 who love makeup and want to explore theatrical looks. This camp offers four days of excitement and interactive hands-on experiences.

Basics of theatre makeup
Foundation for theatre

Eye makeup application for theatre

Get a makeup brush set with your camp experience! You will get the chance to work with an assortment of in-house makeup from some of the industry’s leading companies. The Theatre Makeup Camp is appropriate for all skill levels; no prior experience is necessary. You will receive a certificate upon completion.

FAQs About Our Teen Makeup Camp

How old do you have to be to enroll in the teen makeup camp?

The camp experience is geared toward individuals 13-17 years old.

Can I go if I have no makeup experience?

No experience is necessary to attend the teen makeup camp. It is appropriate for all skill levels.

Do I need to bring my own tools and makeup?

Tools and makeup will be provided. Participants will be issued their own professional MODA makeup brush set to use in camp and to keep. The school will provide professional makeup (such as MAC makeup) to use at camp.

Is there a dress code?

Please dress in casual attire. Closed-toed shoes are required.

Is food provided?

Snacks and drinks are not provided at camp. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. Vending machines are available on-site.

Can I enroll in both camps?

You can enroll in one of the teen makeup camps or both of them. Although the two camps have different themes, there will be some overlap in lessons and activities. Be aware that the listed cost is for one camp only.

By submitting this form, the attendee and their parent or guardian understand and accept the following terms and conditions of the Art in Makeup Experience Camp herein provided:

1. Camp will be on a first come first served basis.
2. The payment and submission of this form enrolls the attendee to the selected camp session.
3. Withdrawal of enrollment prior the start of the camp shall deduct 25% from the full amount provided to be returned to the attendee or guardian.
4. Should the attendee withdraw or not show up anytime within the period of the enrolled camp no refund will be issued.
5. No food or drink is provided in this camp experience, attendees may bring snacks and drinks to camp.
6. International Institute of Cosmetology nor its staff is responsible for lost or stolen items. Attendees should be mindful of their belongings.
7. The International Institute of Cosmetology reserves the right to cancel part of/or the entire program.
8. The camp’s staff may take photos or videos while in the camp’s activities and may use such photos or videos for promotional purposes. However, attendee or parent/guardian does not wish images/video to be used, Please inform us anytime prior to start of camp.
9. The attendee and/or parent or guardian authorizes the International Institute of Cosmetology to seek medical treatment in the event of an accident or sickness. The camp’s staff will notify the emergency contact of the emergency as soon as possible.
15. International Institute of Cosmetology reserves the right to cancel, amend or alter activities accordingly in the event of unanticipated situations.
16.
