Our Makeup Artistry Program is held at our 657 Silas Deane Hwy campus in Wethersfield, CT. Program availability fills up quickly, so we recommend enrolling as soon as possible.

Students receive a professional makeup kit featuring industry leading products and Omnia professional brushes while learning advanced color theory, shade matching, and complexion techniques for all skin tones and undertones. This comprehensive approach helps prepare graduates to serve diverse clients with confidence and professionalism.

FAQs About Our Makeup Artistry Program

Can I get financial aid for this program?

Due to the short length of this program, the Department of Education does not permit federal Financial Aid for this program. However, you could still find alternative funding from scholarships, a loan from your bank or credit union, or a Sallie Mae® loan. Our school offers a split payment option to help make it easier to pay the tuition cost.

Will I need to take a state exam to become a professional makeup artist?

No, the state of Connecticut currently does not have a makeup artist license. Completion of our Makeup Artistry Program results in certification. After that, you could pursue the makeup artistry career you’ve always dreamed of!

Will I learn how to apply eyelash extensions in this program?

Since Connecticut has an Eyelash Extension License, only strip lashes are applied in the Makeup Artistry class. Our school does offer a 50-hour Eyelash Technician Program, if you are interested in learning more about eyelash extensions.

What is provided in the student kit?

Students receive a professional makeup kit from Muse Pro, which includes a variety of professional-grade products and tools. A professional Omnia brush set is also included. The kit is yours to keep after completing the program.

An admissions coach will be contacting you to schedule a contract appointment where
you will bring in the following items and complete contract in person:

- High School diploma/Official Transcripts or equivalent, GED certificate, or home school
  certification.
- Proof of date of birth (driver’s license or birth certificate) and social security card.
- Complete contract with Admissions Coach

1. Camp will be on a first come first served basis.
2. The payment and submission of this form enrolls the attendee to the selected camp session.
3. Withdrawal of enrollment prior the start of the camp shall deduct 25% from the full amount provided to be returned to the attendee or guardian.
4. Should the attendee withdraw or not show up anytime within the period of the enrolled camp no refund will be issued.

8. The camp’s staff may take photos or videos while in the camp’s activities and may use such photos or videos for promotional purposes. However, attendee or parent/guardian does not wish images/video to be used, Please inform us anytime prior to start of camp.
9. The attendee and/or parent or guardian authorizes the International Institute of Cosmetology to seek medical treatment in the event of an accident or sickness. The camp’s staff will notify the emergency contact of the emergency as soon as possible.
15. International Institute of Cosmetology reserves the right to cancel, amend or alter activities accordingly in the event of unanticipated situations.
